Belmont, MI–based Wynalda Packaging has invested in a Landa S10 digital printing press, further expanding their capabilities to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions.
“We hope to have the press on the floor in a few weeks and be ready to run in April,” said Robert Wynalda III, VP of Sales, Wynalda Packaging.
This seven-color digital press covers 96% of the color gamut. Powered by Landa’s proprietary Nanography® technology, the S10 uses a water-based ink composed of ultra-fine pigment particles. This process produces high-resolution images up to 1200 DPI. “The print quality is excellent, and I don’t anticipate us having any issues selling the quality and color to our customers,” said Wynalda.
The Landa S10 also plays a pivotal role in reducing environmental impact:
- Water-Based, Solvent-Free Inks: NanoInk® is free of VOCs, PFOS, PFOA, and Teflon, making it safer for both production and disposal.
- Reduced Waste: The S10 eliminates the need for plates and produces usable prints right from the start, while traditional presses require hundreds of sheets to calibrate.
- On-Demand Production: The S10 enables short-run and personalized packaging solutions, reducing overproduction and unnecessary inventory waste.
