During the Hispack 2022 event in Barcelona, Hinojosa was presented with an award for the development of Barket. Hispack was the event chosen for the official presentation of the WorldStar Awards 2021.
Many countries in the EU are restricting the use of single-use plastics in food packaging. A regulatory change that joins the consumer trends that, for some time now, prioritises the most sustainable products. With this aim, Hinojosa Packaging Xàtiva developed Barket. It is a solution made of recycled cardboard and maintains the same safety features of the product. In addition, the use of plastic is reduced by up to 95% and it is 100% recyclable. This innovation, a heat-sealable cardboard tray that was developed as a sustainable alternative to traditional single-use plastic trays for fruits and vegetables. Interestingly, it has also been recognised with the Liderpack award in 2020.
