WestRock named to Dow Jones Sustainability Index for second consecutive year

WestRock has been named for the second consecutive year to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index (DJSI North America), in recognition of its commitment to sustainable business practices. The Index is a widely recognized standard for measuring and advancing corporate environmental, social and governance practices across all industries. DJSI North America recognizes the top 20% of sustainability performers among the 600 largest U.S. and Canadian companies.

“We congratulate WestRock for being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for North America. A DJSI distinction is a reflection of being a sustainability leader in your industry. The record number of companies participating in the 2021 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment is testament to the growing movement for ESG disclosure and transparency,” said Manjit Jus, Global Head of ESG Research and Data, S&P Global.

“At WestRock, we’re creating a world where innovative, fiber-based packaging plays a central role in advancing a more circular economy,” said David Sewell, CEO, WestRock. “We are honored to be included on this year’s Dow Jones Sustainability Index, recognizing our ongoing commitment to imagining and delivering on the promise of a sustainable future.”
