Welch Acquires PAX

U.S. based Welch Packaging has acquired PAX Corrugated Products in Lebanon, Ohio, from Georgia-Pacific. Co-founded in 1991 by Stan Bernard and Jim Cory, PAX Corrugated Products offers digital printing, flatbed die-cutting, and four-color small box capabilities and serves the food, pharmaceutical, and automotive packaging markets in the Cincinnati area.

Its location, product offerings, and dedicated workforce make PAX Corrugated Products a perfect fit for Welch Packaging, according to CEO Scott Welch. “PAX has experienced people with great skill sets,” says Welch. “Their package engineering team is outstanding.”

PAX’s location can quickly support four of Welch Packaging’s other manufacturing centers. “If a customer has an emergency order, we can shift work to other locations to accommodate that order,” Welch says. “Having PAX on board will drastically improve those capabilities for our Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky customers.”
