Chris Bywater, Director of Manchester, UK-based TG Nuttall Packaging Ltd, has confirmed the company has signed an order for a three colour flexo folder gluer with rotary die-cut unit from Weipong Machinery Co Ltd (Taiwan). The machine, which will be installed in July, was sold by Weipong’s agent, GTS (Europe) Ltd.
“We had been in the market for a new casemaker for some time and worked closely with David Williams and his team at GTS to help us find the right machine for us,” explains Bywater. “We had a fixed budget, that meant that some brands were simply out of the question. However, GTS took us to see the Weipong factory and we were really impressed with what we saw. We placed an order for a three colour machine, with rotary die-cut unit and we then travelled back to their factory to see it in action, prior to it being shipped to Shanghai for the Sino-Corrugated expo, where it ran daily demos throughout the show. The machine is now being sent back to the Weipong facility for a few final touches, before it is shipped to our factory in Manchester. We expect it to arrive in late June.”
“This is a big move for Nuttall,” confirms David Williams. “They have put their faith in GTS and Weipong and we look forward to showing them that it was the right decision for them.”
