On 2nd July, 2021 Valmet Oyj and Neles Corporation confirmed that their respective Boards of Directors have signed a combination agreement and a merger plan to combine the two companies through a merger. The combined company will be called Valmet Oyj.
After the merger, Valmet will have an even stronger and more comprehensive offering to customers including board, paper, tissue, pulp and energy technologies, flow control solutions, automation systems and services. The global services network will be strengthened by combined service centres, sales offices, R&D centres and performance centres, improving the customer service and experience.
The merger completion is expected to occur on or about January 1, 2022, subject to all conditions for completion being fulfilled.
