The Paper and Packaging Board (P+PB) have confirmed three new board members appointed by USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack. Scott Light (Georgia-Pacific), Beth Cormier (Sappi), and Richard Bennett (Pactiv Evergreen), will begin their three-year appointment immediately.
An eight-member Board of Directors representing the four grades of paper funding the Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds® campaign oversees the paper and packaging sectors’ national promotion program focused on sustainability and recycling. Officers and board members for 2022 are:
- Chair: Scott Light, Executive Vice President, Packaging & Cellulose, Georgia-Pacific LLC
- Vice-Chair: Jonathan Kraft, President, The Kraft Group
- Secretary/Treasurer: Fred Towler, Chief Diversity Officer & Vice President Global Talent Management, International Paper Co.
- At-Large Member: Rob Melton, Vice President and General Manager, Paper, Domtar
- Beth Cormier, Vice President of Research, Development and Sustainability, Sappi
- Richard Bennett, Vice President of Paperboard Sales & Marketing, Pactiv Evergreen
- James Harrell, Vice President, Industrial Americas, Sonoco
