The American Pizza Boxes Manufacturers Coalition has filed a petition seeking antidumping duties on imports of corrugated pizza boxes from China, Malaysia and Türkiye.
The coalition, comprising Smurfit Westrock and Pratt Industries, filed the petition on September 9 alongside the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (USW). The petitioners are also seeking countervailing duties on imports from Türkiye.
The proposed investigation covers corrugated food service boxes commonly used for pizzas, including finished boxes and die-cut blanks supplied flat for assembly. Products manufactured from B-, C-, D- and E-flute corrugated board, as well as equivalent flute types, are included within the proposed scope.
Covered finished boxes have a minimum length and width of five inches and a maximum height of four inches, regardless of printing, coating, lining, ventilation holes or other features.
The merchandise is typically classified under US Harmonized Tariff Schedule subheading 4819.10.0020.
