Uni.co is the latest cutting system for solidboard and corrugated converters, from Solema of Italy.
“This system is revolutionary because nobody before thought it possible to process either solid or corrugated board with the same machine,” explains Luca Parsani, CEO, Solema. “It is also revolutionary, because its design has been developed by offering functional modules – adding one of them is the fastest way to enter into new market segments.”
At the core of the new technology is punching instead of die-cutting. The company says that this means you can now have finished production free from die-cutting waste.
Additionally, the punching tools are a modular concept as well. “Setting your own patterns for each different job and re-using the same elements leads you to save a huge amount of space, with no more time wasted looking for the right die-formes,” concludes Parsani.
