UK based Ultragraph has installed a Versafire CP from Heidelberg and it says the new press is already winning it business. The Ormskirk marketing communications and packaging printer came down in favour of the Versafire CP digital press because it was more competitive in terms of running costs and because the quality is more litho-like with much smoother tints and solids. The press was delivered at the start of this month.
The company updated its Prinect workflow and upgraded its Signastation and Signapack Pro imposition software so that it can handle both commercial and packaging work with equal ease across all printing areas. It extensively tested a range of board grades on the Versafire CP before placing the order because it handles a number of short run packaging jobs.
The company has been a Heidelberg customer for over 20 years and values the Heidelberg build quality, standards of control and workflow plus its service and support.
