Saudi Arabia-based United Carton Industries Co (UCIC), has confirmed it has recently completed the acquisition of Gulf Paper Manufacturing Co .
Gulf Paper was founded in 1979 and started full paper production in 1982 – the company was one of the first in the region to produce papers specifically for packaging. The company’s mill in Dubai produces fluting, Testliner and Whitetop Testliner on a 4.2m paper machine. It also produces tissue paper and coreboard.
