Two More Nozomi Presses for CSI

Visual Impact PrePrint, LLC the Digital Division of Corrugated Synergies International, LLC (CSI), is following its successful launch of high-volume, high-graphic direct-to-board corrugated printing on a Nozomi C18000 single-pass LED inkjet press with the purchase of two additional Nozomi presses. Based in Santa Teresa, N.M., Visual Impact is North America’s first dedicated sheet feeding company, according to CSI.

CSI’s first Nozomi press, an ultra-high-speed corrugated production solution from Electronics for Imaging, Inc., (EFI), allowed the Renton, Wash.-based company to capture significant new market opportunities with its new, high-volume trade printing operation in Santa Teresa.

In 2019, CSI is on pace to become the world’s largest user of Nozomi presses, with one new press scheduled for installation at a facility in the Las Vegas area, and another new press to be installed at a yet-to-be-revealed location.

The New Mexico facility, which has 20 employees, provides high-end, direct-to-board trade printing for a wide range of clients across the western U.S. It is the first phase of an ambitious growth strategy for the New Mexico operation, which is in the process of adding a corrugator to serve domestic clients as well as meet surging corrugated packaging demand for clients in Mexico.
