THIMM has confirmed it has received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets, reinforcing the company’s commitment to climate action through internationally recognised, science-based standards.
The approval confirms that THIMM’s emissions reduction targets are aligned with the latest climate science and support the global ambition of limiting temperature rise in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. The validated targets are:
- Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2034, from a 2024 base year.
- Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 30% by 2034, from a 2024 base year.
As a manufacturer of corrugated packaging and display solutions, THIMM says the validated targets provide measurable and transparent benchmarks for customers, suppliers and business partners, helping to support collaboration across more sustainable value chains.
By setting science-based emissions reduction targets, the company is aligning its climate strategy with internationally recognised standards while taking responsibility for reducing emissions across its operations and value chain.
