Thimm start-ups move to a new site in Göttingen

Thimm start-ups moved to Göttingen early in the new year relocating to new offices on the fifth floor of Weender Landstraße 3 in the immediate vicinity of the University, the Private University of Göttingen (PFH), Göttingen Central Station and the City Centre.

“Cartonara has developed so exceptionally well since it was founded in March 2018, that we had been looking for new, larger premises,” says Michael Weber, Head of Corporate Strategy + Marketing at Thimm Group. “Cartonara employees previously worked out of offices within the PFH. However, we had outgrown the space there. We also want to pool all our start-up activities – some of which were still based in Northeim – in one central site. This site in Göttingen was selected because the collaboration with the University of Göttingen, the PFH and other local companies has been a good experience for us. This proximity of this site is therefore important to us.”

The idea is that in future all the activities of Thimm start-ups and other collaboration start-ups will be clustered at the new location near Göttingen city centre. “We will continue to further drive the expansion of our start-ups from this site, in other words, we will position them for the future and grow them profitably,” explains Weber.

The 400 sqm area above the roofs of the university city is divided into a modern open-plan office with a separate brainstorming area, two conference rooms with the latest media technology and a smaller meeting room. 12 employees currently work at the new site. An official opening event is planned for later this year.
