Award winning global packaging firm, The Wilkins Group, has revealed plans to almost double the size of its headquarters in Nottingham, England. The family run business has purchased an extra three acres of land which lies adjacent to the factory on Private Road Number One in Colwick.
The plans are in the very early stages, but Sales Director, Justin Wilkins, said the investment would almost double the business from a GBP 30 million business to a GBP 50 million business once they have expanded and invested in new kit.
“The plans are still in the very early stages and we are currently talking to architects about what to do with the increased space. The plan will be put into action over the next couple of years and will mean we can potentially take on more staff.”
The Wilkins Group has worldwide hubs in Sri Lanka, China, Romania, Bangladesh and India. It won the international trade award at The Midlands Family Business Awards in November last year.
