Board Converting News has reported that at the end of June, Bedford Heights, OH-based Tavens Packaging & Display Solutions acquired Ohio-based Corpad Co and its sister company, Sash Foam Works.
Corpad Co is a corrugated packaging manufacturer. The purchase allows Tavens to provide its customers an expanded product mix of large format and mini flexo boxes, as well as the ability to efficiently produce small quantities. Sash Foam Works is a custom packaging foam fabricator; Tavens can now reach into markets that require foam use, advancing the company’s strategy to completely serve all its customer’s packaging needs.
“The acquisitions are a perfect fit as Corpad’s equipment greatly complements Tavens’ existing capabilities and vastly expands our service area,” said Mike Schaefer, President, Tavens. “The addition of Sash also allows us to offer protective packaging products to our existing customers, as well as expand our markets to include foam buyers.”
