Swanline recruits new talent

Swanline Print has recruited two graduates to work in its sales team to support new business development and enhance customer relationships. The graduates are focusing on enhancing customer relationships, as well as acting as key points of contact for customers during order processing. They are gaining project management skills and are working alongside the sales, commercial, buying, planning and operations teams. Gaining an all-round understanding of the business will provide graduates the opportunity to develop their career in their chosen specialism.

Richard Towers, Managing Director, at Swanline Print, said, “The market is extremely competitive and continuing to develop our existing business and attract new customers is crucial to our long term future. We continually invest in new technology to ensure we are always at the forefront of meeting customer demands and offering innovative solutions. However, this goes hand in hand with delivering excellent customer service and we recognised this was an area we needed to strengthen.”

Swanline Print worked in collaboration with Staffordshire University to recruit the two graduates. Towers added, “People are our greatest asset and we recognised that our sales team needed extra support to enable them to spend more time with our existing customers and develop new business opportunities. Recruiting graduates seemed to be the ideal fit to solve this problem as we wanted individuals who were self-motivated, eager to learn and have the desire to progress within the business.”

Richard Potter, Account Executive at Swanline Print concluded, “After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a 2:1 in International Business, I was looking for a role that would give me the opportunity to be involved in lots of areas of a business, giving me the practical skills to accompany the learnings from my degree. The role at Swanline Print offers just that and it is exciting to be involved in the entire process of delivering global campaigns for our customers; from the initial development stage to distributing to major retailers throughout the UK and Europe.”
