Supremex invests $4m to expand packaging operations

Supremex has confirmed capital investments of approximately $4m (€3.4m) to expand and modernise its folding carton and e-commerce packaging operations in the US.

At its Indianapolis facility, the company is adding a six-colour offset press with in-line UV coating alongside new converting and finishing equipment. The investment will increase folding carton and e-commerce packaging capacity, expand the range of formats and finishes produced in-house and reduce reliance on subcontractors.

Supremex is also relocating and upgrading a printing press at its Chicago facility and adding e-commerce packaging capacity at its Naperville site to meet growing demand.

“By bringing this level of capability in-house, we broaden what we can produce for our folding carton and e-commerce customers, respond faster, and control quality from start to finish,” said Stewart Emerson, President and CEO, Supremex. “Packaging is a growth engine for Supremex — we are investing in our future.”

The investments will be funded through existing cash flows and the company’s existing credit facilities.
