Accurate Box Company has received several Supplier LOCT badges to acknowledge significant milestones in its sustainability journey: the GHG Protocol-Aligned Scope 1 & 2 Footprint badge, the Disclosure badge, and the Disclosure RoadMap badge. Launched in 2021, Supplier LOCT is a collaborative, expert-led program designed to help suppliers measure, manage, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The first of these badges, the GHG Protocol-Aligned Scope 1 & 2 Footprint badge, recognizes suppliers that measure and report greenhouse gas emissions by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, one of the most widely used global frameworks for carbon accounting.
- Scope 1 emissions are direct emissions generated from sources owned or controlled by a company, such as fuel usage on-site.
- Scope 2 emissions cover indirect emissions associated with purchased electricity, heating, or cooling used during operations.
By reporting these emissions in alignment with GHG Protocol standards, companies can develop a better understanding of their environmental impact and track environmental data more consistently and transparently.
Going beyond measurement, Accurate Box earned the Strategy Milestone Badge for Disclosure, recognizing that the company formally discloses its sustainability performance to outside organizations and industry frameworks, such as CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and EcoVadis. This disclosure signals a higher level of accountability by actively sharing the company’s environmental data, giving customers and partners the visibility they need to make informed decisions about their own sustainability goals.
The company also achieved a Disclosure Roadmap milestone that outlines a clear plan for how it will track and report its sustainability progress, helping Accurate Box look down the road towards its long-term sustainability future.
This recognition reflects Accurate Box’s continued participation in industry efforts to be environmentally responsible and have more measurable sustainability practices.
