Successful start up of EVOL 100 at TFP in Poland

Leading independent Polish corrugated manufacturer, TFP, recently started up a new EVOL 100 flexo folder gluer from Mitsubishi at its Kórnik facility, near Poznan. The machine, which was commissioned in March, was running at full speed within a matter of days from start-up. The four colour, high speed casemaker line includes the Mitsubishi MPF M pre-feeder, which ensures maximum speed can be achieved on the line.

“It’s been three months since we started production on the EVOL 100,” says Piotr Dutkiewicz, Production Director, TFP. “The installation process went well with no problems. All the work was done in just three weeks.”

He continues, “Within weeks, the machine is running on three shifts and all the operators are satisfied with its efficiency and precision. Step by step, they are achieving better and better performance, reducing set-up time and increasing production speed. For us, we appreciate the high accuracy in printing and die-cutting. The gaps are clearly cut even with the most demanding material. Folding is accurate, with no fish tailing.”

“This is quite a typical start up for us,” explains Giovanni Bettini, Sales Director, MHI EMEA. “TFP is a well known and highly professional business and the operators were keen to see how well the machine would perform from day one. The EVOL did not disappoint, as it was quickly into stride and producing some quite difficult boxes from day one. The customer also ran some heavy duty boxes which were almost out of the specification, but it shows the strength of this machine that it can run boxes of any type.”

Bettini concludes, “It is always nice to have the endorsement of leading companies and TFP is no exception. Their reputation in Poland is second to none and we are proud to be working with them. This is now the seventh EVOL we have sold to Poland.”
