South Africa’s Printafoil Press installs Eagle Systems’ cold foil on a Komori Press

Eagle Systems Inc., a U.S. based developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement equipment, today announced that Printafoil Ltd has installed an Eco-Eagle Cold Foil Module on their Komori press. The installation, which was just completed in October, is already creating a buzz among the company’s prominent retail and brand packaging clients.

“We’re barely a few weeks in with the Eagle System and we’re already generating real excitement among our most demanding clients,” said Printafoil Director Ryan Sherman. “A very smooth installation enabled us to begin generating samples very early on and now we’re running trials with several of our key customers.”

Printafoil is a third-generation printing and packaging company specializing in premium carton board work, based in Cape Town. The company’s reputation for quality and reliability as a packaging printer has been recognized by the countless awards that don their trophy cases.

“Over 1,500 combined years of printing and packaging experience is constantly dedicated to our customers’ project satisfaction and ultimately their success,” adds Sherman. “Servicing many of the most recognizable packaging brands, including Almay, Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, Adidas, Estee Lauder, and Clinique, we are constantly seeking out technologies that widen our competitive edge. Adding the powerful capabilities of the Eagle System is a major advantage in both quality and throughput productivity.”

“The Eagle system fits ideally with our business model of offering a multitude of finishes, providing the ultimate in graphic enhancements, and product protection. And our new cold-foiling tools replace a metalized plastic coated board with a more eco-friendly green solution which is 100% recyclable. Eagle is perfectly in-line with our vision to produce eye-catching, yet sustainable, packaging with minimal environmental impact. After much research and field testing we determined that Eagle’s vast and extensive experience in the foiling field differentiates them from their competition. This is a position we can respect.”

“We’ve experienced an increasingly rapid global adoption of cold foil in recent years,” said Mike King, President and CEO, Eagle Systems. “Cold Foil enables service providers to offer their clients an innovative option that transcends the demands of their most high-end customers. Simply stated, it gives them the ability to say ‘yes’ to more projects, with less time and money required to make it happen.”
