Swadlincote, South Derbyshire-based PH Flexible Packaging Ltd have confirmed that they have recently commissioned a Solarco Ecomatic 18DC box maker at their facility.
“After careful consideration of all the short run machinery available in the market, we felt the Solarco machine provided the most flexibility for the range of boxes we currently make, along with providing much needed capacity to our operation,” explains Paul Horobin, Managing Director, PH Flexible. “In addition, the unit is compact and robustly constructed. We see this as the next step on our journey of growing our box making capabilities to be a ‘first-choice supplier’ in the local area.”
The new Solarco Ecomatic compliments the existing case making equipment and enables PH Flexible to produce greater volumes of regular cases. This is in addition to manufacturing bespoke designs using die cut tooling or tool-less, using a fan-fold ‘box on demand’ machine.
“PH Flexible are ideally positioned in the centre of the country and manufacture bubble wrap, corrugated cases, pallet boxes, die-cut boxes, tool-less die-cut styles, along with converting bubble and foam rolls and supplying a wide range of ancillary packaging materials,” adds Paul Herson, Sales Manager, GTS (Europe) Ltd, Solarco’s UK and Ireland sales agent. “It’s great when a customer understands what Solarco can bring to their short run box division, they really are fantastic machines.”
