Smurfit Kappa has confirmed that its Mengibar paper mill in Spain has invested in a second anaerobic reactor and biogas utilisation unit for the plant’s waste water treatment.
The company says that this investment means they have high quality water effluent, can produce more biomethane and further decrease CO2 emissions.
