Leading Italian corrugated board producer, Sifa SpA, recently installed a six colour Chroma High Tech 2100 from Celmacch. Based in the Marche region in Italy, Sifa specialises in packaging for the food and industrial sectors and is one of the largest Italian manufacturers of packaging for take-away food.
The machine is equipped with Celmacch’s infrared and hot air dryers for printing at high speeds in high-definition on coated board. The whole line uses the latest generation Siemens electronics and each component is manufactured in Europe, to guarantee Sifa maximum productivity in the long term. The line is fed by a Favalessa prefeeder, equipped with a direct-motor belt feeder and six printing units with quick set up. Each printing unit is accessible during production, meaning the operator can change jobs while printing, further minimising job changeover time. In addition, the line is equipped with anilox roll changeover system, allowing different anilox specification according to the requirements of each job.
“This is the third Celmacch printer currently running at Sifa, as it looks to consolidate its position in the market for the supply of high-definition corrugated packaging,” says Luca Celotti, Sales & Marketing Director at Celmacch.
