Since its construction in 2007, the national football stadium at Wembley has seen numerous hospitality facilities spring up around it. One of its neighbours, an international hotel brand, manages its waste paper and cardboard with a WEIMA shredder.
Supplied by FERCELL, the system comprises of a WEIMA WL6s single-shaft shredder, with flexible discharge screw conveyor and FERCELL automatic dust air-handling system, which controls and captures the fine particles generated during shredding.
The hotel’s paper and cardboard waste is collected and brought to a central service area, where it is loaded into the shredder hopper and processed automatically, reduced in size and graded before being transported by flexible screw conveyor into collection bins.
The plant has been designed to provide maximum process capacity within the smallest possible footprint, all contained with a caged compound, to optimise the service area.
