West Midlands, UK-based Sandland Packaging has improved its environmental credentials by achieving FSC certification and securing an agreement to plant one tree for every five orders manufactured. This is part of a wider effort to continue to improve its environmental credentials to meet customer demand.
“We know the environment is a major concern not just for our customers, but for everyone. Achieving FSC certification was an obvious move for Sandland Packaging as we have supplied FSC materials for years. But that wasn’t enough. We want to make an impact and by planting trees we know we’re directly helping the environment,” said Martin Hickman, Managing Director.
Sandland Packaging has organised the tree planting through ‘One Tree Planted’, a non-profit organisation focused on global re-forestation. As an environmental charity, their mission is to make it simple for individuals and businesses to help the environment by planting trees.
