At the end of January, Salinas Packaging Group completed the acquisition of the production unit specialised in the development and production of folding boxes from Arteos Digital S.L., based in Torrejón de Ardóz, Madrid.
Arteos specialises in one-off communication services and consists of three branches; packaging, billing and book on demand; Salinas has only acquired the packaging unit.
With this new acquisition, Salinas are opening up a new product category – folding cartons – for markets such as pharmaceuticals and food, among others. The acquisition adds more than fifty qualified people to Salinas’ team, 3,000 sqm of production area and €6m of turnover, taking the group’s turnover to around €50m by the end of 2024.
“With our arrival in Madrid we have fulfilled one of our objectives, as together with the Barcelona and Alicante plants, we have created a strategic triangle both in terms of distribution and direct and close service to our national and international customers,” said Salinas PacakgingGroup in its statement. “The integration of this new production unit closes the important restructuring and investment plan that we launched in 2020 and which is expected to be fully achieved this year.”
