Rohrer increases capacity in Mesa, AZ

Rohrer recently confirmed that it will be expanding its production capacity in its Mesa, AZ, location to better serve the West Coast market.

Last year, Rohrer opened its doors to its first ‘Center of Excellence’ facility in Wadsworth. This project expanded its manufacturing footprint while adding state-of-the-art equipment and new sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives. But this was just the beginning. This milestone marked the start of a whole new era of quality, pricing and sustainability – all driven by Rohrer’s ‘go-to-market’ strategy.

Acquired in 2012, Mesa produces paperboard cards and inserts, blister packaging while providing access to ezCombo™, Rohrer’s cost-effective, shared tooling solution. Coming in the spring 2021, Mesa will be adding more printing equipment to boost its capacity output, including a Koenig & Bauer press and two die-cutters. The Koneig & Bauer press will be a powerhouse for their custom-made packaging with the ability to print up to 10 colors.

Justin Antony, VP of Operations stated, “Rohrer is excited to service our West Coast customers more efficiently through a 65% increase of our production capacity at Mesa. The Koenig & Bauer press and die-cutters are just the beginning of growing our West Coast footprint. Rohrer plans on purchasing additional equipment and leasing more space in the future.”
