Reconomy launches Reconomy Nordics to deliver solution across the Nordics

Reconomy has confirmed the launch of Reconomy Nordics, a new regional setup established to provide a best-in-class data-driven circular economy solution for businesses across the Nordics.

Reconomy Nordics will deliver the full range of Reconomy’s Recycle and Comply services across this region by bringing together its specialist waste management, recycling and materials recovery brands – Combineering and Sudamin Rohstoff – with Comply Loop’s packaging data capabilities and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) expertise.

The new setup creates a powerful and differentiated customer proposition in a strategically important region where governments are prioritising circularity and sustainability, and businesses must comply with a range of existing and emerging regulatory frameworks. These include the Danish WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and battery take-back schemes which are currently in effect, and the EPR for packaging, set to commence on 1 October 2025.

Customers will be able to leverage Reconomy Nordics’ scale, cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights to make better use of their materials, decouple growth from resource consumption, lower their carbon footprint and meet regulatory requirements across the region.

Torben Kristiansen, Chief Business Development Officer for Reconomy Nordics and Executive Director for CircuLab, will lead the new regional setup from its new office in Copenhagen, Denmark. The new location will also house analysts and business development colleagues that are part of the developing CircuLab team, Reconomy’s new sustainability research innovation hub managed out of Bucharest.
