Recognition for Reproflex3 as ‘UK export champion’

Reproflex3 has recently been recognised as a Northern Powerhouse Export Champion by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) following its continued expansion and investment within the flexible packaging industry globally.

As a UK Export Champion, the company will offer practical advice to other businesses in the Northern Powerhouse region who also wish to expand overseas. The Export Champion community is designed to help UK businesses think in global terms and contributes to one of the Prime Minister’s priorities to grow the UK economy by promoting the benefits of exporting.

Andrew Hewitson, group CEO at Reproflex3, said, “We are delighted to be selected as a DBT Northen Powerhouse Export Champion. Before we made our first international investment, which was setting up a new plate manufacturing facility and artwork studio in Dubai to serve the Middle East and Asia Pacific region, we worked closely with our International Trade Adviser (ITA) within the DBT, which helped us to do our homework and conduct thorough research.”

There is currently around 400 volunteer Export Champions active across the UK representing SMEs from a diverse range of sectors and helping the Secretary of State’s aim to achieve £1 trillion exports by 2030. Export Champions are selected volunteers who have been appointed based on their experience and success in exporting. They give their time freely to encourage and inspire more UK businesses to trade internationally.

Paul Stowers, Head of Partnerships at Northern Powerhouse, said, “Export Champions represent a wide range of sectors and work with the DBT to complement its services, generously giving their time to motivate and assist others in their export journeys and leading by example as they continue to win new business overseas and enter new markets. We are delighted to welcome Reproflex3 to the Export Champion community. They have a successful international trade record and a compelling story to impart to potential exporters. UK business wants to hear from businesses about how exporting makes a positive difference to both the company and the economy.”
