ProPrint Group boosts capacity with third Eterna

Despite the challenges of 2020, UK-based ProPrint Group has continued to invest in upgrading converting lines within its carton-board division.

As a printer with a focus on exceptionally short lead times and delivery timescales, the new equipment will provide ProPrint Group and their customers increased capacity, faster changeovers and running speeds of 8,000 sheets per hour.

The installation of the ECUT 1060 Elite E machine took place just before Christmas and the machine was in full production within two days of arrival. This completes a ‘full house’ of Eterna equipment at ProPrint Group that now consists of three Eterna die-cutters and three Eterna folder-gluers.

“The pressures that 2020 put onto businesses created an uplift in demand for cartons that was not easing” said Nigel Tollman, Director. “It’s vitally important that we never ignore the fundamental USP of our business, which is to exceed customer time and quality expectations. We’re really impressed with the standards and efficiencies of the Eterna range of machinery and we have found them to be a great partner to work with. This purchase will strengthen our finishing department and put the company in good position for the demands that 2021 will bring.”
