Emin Leydier takeover by SAICA
The Commission of the European Union received notification of the proposed acquisition of French corrugated packaging and containerboard producer Emin Leydier by SAICA of Spain just prior to Christmas. According to the notification, SAICA is to acquire control of the whole of Emin Leydier by way of purchase of shares.
Emin-Leydier is controlled by First Eagle Funds, through Financière Rouge LLC and Financière Bleu LLC, and belonging to the group Emin Leydier. The group was created in 1975 from the merger of La Cartonnerie Emin and Les Papeteries Leydier, two family owned companies. The group specialises in the production and sale of corrugated paper and packaging, operating in France out of eight industrial sites and delivers its products in France and Europe. The Emin Leydier group serves a broad range of clients in highly diversified sectors, including industry, food and e- commerce.
