Pro-Gest Mantua mill to start up in October

It has been reported that Pro-Gest is all set to start-up its new containerboard mill in Mantua, Italy, in October. The original plan was for the mill to start up its new paper machine in July, but this was delayed firstly to September and subsequently moved back to October. It is expected to produce over 400,000 tonnes of paper per year.

The company states that the Mantua mill will produce fluting and Testliner in basis weights of 70-160 gsm, all made from recovered fibre.

Pro-Gest confirmed on its website that all the permits and licences for its proposed developments at the Mantua mill were granted in May 2020.
