Price increase and reduced solidboard output for Solidus Solution

It has been reported that Solidus Solutions has announced a price increase for its range of solidboard grades. From 15th August, an increase of between 8-10% is being implemented, with the company saying it is passing on the higher costs that it is experiencing in terms of raw materials and energy prices. Solidus said it would continue to operate with a temporary energy surcharge for sheets and reels, based on the Dutch TTF gas index, which it updates each month.

At the same time, the company is also reducing its output as it continues to handle the higher costs and a reduced demand for its products. Solid board output has been reduced by 10% and this will stay in place until further notice. The company has a capacity of 350,000 tonnes per annum.
