Pratt Industries is planning to establish its first manufacturing facility in Iowa, with a $97.6m (€82.7m) investment in a new corrugated packaging operation in Bondurant.
The project, being undertaken by Pratt (4.0 Corrugating), LLC, a subsidiary of Pratt Corrugated Holdings, will include more than $80m (€67.8m) of manufacturing equipment and will produce corrugated packaging and other corrugated products.
According to the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), the development is expected to create 105 jobs and increase Pratt’s use of suppliers within the state. The IEDA Board has approved $1.8m (€1.5m) in tax credits for the project through its Business Incentives for Growth (BIG) programme.
The new operation will mark Atlanta-based Pratt Industries’ first manufacturing presence in Iowa.
