Giovanni Bettini, Sales Director, MHI EMEA, has confirmed the company has signed an agreement with the Brazilian corrugated packaging producer, Penha, for the supply of a four colour EVOL 100 flexo folder gluer, with Dual Slotter unit. This will be the third such machine ordered by Penha.
“This is a significant order for us, as we only started up the second machine for them in May this year,” explains Bettini. “Penha have had great success with the first EVOL 100 which they took delivery of in 2017. The second machine, which is equipped with the Dual Slotter unit, was commissioned in May and within a matter of days, the operators were running the new machine at full speed successfully.”
Bettini concludes, “We are pleased with the relationship with Penha and it is nice to see the machines are kept in a great condition. Their operators and maintenance engineers are dedicated and motivated to running the EVOLs at maximum speed and they are fully supported by the excellent management team. During the sales visit, members of MHI EMEA were able to see the original EVOL running at 350 boxes per min, as well as watching the Mitsubishi SH350 corrugator running consistently at 350m per min; considering the corrugator was installed 10 years ago, it is testament not only to the build quality of the machine, but also the way in which Penha maintain all their equipment. They are the ideal customer!”
