Papersort UK is the new name for Oswestry Waste Paper

Tarporley, UK-based Recycling UK Ltd has confirmed that their group company, Oswestry Waste Paper Ltd, has recently changed its name to Papersort UK Limited.

Neil Clarke, Managing Director, said, “The change was needed because the recycling depot at Oswestry is now handling waste paper collected from suppliers such as distribution centres, and local authorities throughout the UK and the new name reflected such. Although the Oswestry site also handles some plastic the input is predominantly paper which is sorted and graded before shipment to paper mills throughout the UK, Europe, Far East and India.”

Simon Marsden, Operations Director, added, “After taking over the site from the Davies family in 2012 the tonnages collected locally in Shropshire, Cheshire, The Midlands, North and Mid Wales have grown substantially through winning and servicing national supply contracts with extra tonnages gained being channelled through the Oswestry site and other third-party processing plants throughout the UK.”

Alex Pinson, Commercial Director,  said, “The name change is more in keeping with the work we now do nationally in the UK and will help in growing our contract purchasing nationwide and supply opportunities world-wide through RUK group sales. Because we have moved away from being a local processing company, we have grown the tonnages being handled to more than 1,500 tonnes per week through the Oswestry site.”

As well as its national recycling activities Recycling UK Ltd trades 400,000 tonnes of recovered paper, packaging materials, reels and other recovered materials. The group also manages recycling at large industrial sites such as printers and packaging companies. It also buys substantial quantities of recovered paper in Ireland for shipment worldwide.
