Offenbach PTC Open House is a huge success

Held in September, Manroland Sheetfed GmbH’s Open House event in ‘Ecology in High Performance Packaging Printing’ at its Print Technology Center in Offenbach, Germany was a successful two-day event.

Held on Wednesday 27 September in the German language and then again on Thursday 28 September in English, Manroland’s Open House was designed, in part, to be a comprehensive showcase of print techniques and equipment customisations to help print partners to achieve and exceed their sustainability targets.

The event provided the perfect opportunity for attendees to witness at first hand the many ecological benefits of the ROLAND 700 Evolution Speed with its application-specific solutions, demonstrating a variety of alternatives to standard print and varnishing processes.

The day’s programme of expert guest lectures included a presentation by Ralf Gumbel, Manroland Sheetfed’s Head of Global Sales. Also presenting from Manroland Sheetfed were Product Manager Stefan Stillger, along with Dieter Körner and Alexander Hart, joint Managing Directors at Bonitasprint and respected print industry professionals with demonstrated expertise in the adoption and deployment of environmental management systems.

Other speakers on the day included Marco Hanisch, Head of Global Business Development at Leonhard Kurz Packaging & Print and Druck Chemie’s Managing Director, Thomas Becht.

In keeping with the location and Manroland’s proud national heritage, visitors to the Open House were able to enjoy a range of classic German street food dishes and refreshments throughout the day.
