The Spanish manufacturer of machinery for the corrugated industry, SERRA Industries, continues to innovate and has now launched a robotic pre-feeder module for single pass line digital printing lines. In 2016, Serra incorporated a mechanical pre-feeder with an automatic flipping feature that has rapidly evolved into the current robotic pre-feeder. It incorporates several advantages over the previous model, in particular:
· A more compact space saving design;
· Greater versatility to be able to pick up and drop the packs of corrugated sheets in different locations;
· Works hand in hand with multi-feeder, meaning it is able to work with two sheets in parallel, thus improving productivity;
· Capacity to selectively flip sheets over if necessary.
The robotic pre-feeder can be incorporated in all corrugated single pass digital printing lines to increase productivity. Serra’s first robotic pre-feeder will be installed with with an EFI Nozomi.
