New project in Queensland for Visy

It has been widely reported that Visy is set to start a A$150m investment plan to build a new board plant in Hammant, Queensland; the project is part of the company’s A$700m investment project in the state.

In addition to the board plant, the company will invest A$500m to develop a new glass food and beverage container recycling and manufacturing facility in Yatala; and A$48 million in upgrades to the company’s MRF on Gibson Island. These projects will create over 1,000 jobs once all operational.
