Cardbox Packaging has confirmed that construction has started on its new production site in the Czech Republic. This significant step marks the beginning of a major expansion for the company.
The company says the investment is substantial; €6.5m in state-of-the-art machinery, including a top-of-the-line litho printing press with a perfecting unit. This advanced technology allows for printing on both the front and reverse sides in a single pass, enhancing efficiency and product quality.
In addition, approximately €2.5m will be invested in building infrastructure. This substantial investment underscores the company’s commitment to growth and excellence.
“By the end of 2024, we aim to have this facility fully operational with a goal of 15,000 tons of processed board capacity. This expansion is not just about increasing our production capabilities; it’s about setting new standards in the industry,” said Klaus Hockl, Joint Managing Director, Cardbox Packaging Holding.
