MEPCO – has confirmed it has embarked on a project for installing its fifth paper machine.
The company said it is targeting production of around 450,000 tons of containerboard per annum on the new line. Voith has won the contract for the machine installation.
With a budget of SAR 1.78 bn (approximately €440m) and an estimated return rate of 14.5%, the project is set to begin in Q3 2024 and commence commercial production by Q4 2027.
