Greg Bird (pictured left) has been appointed Managing Director of Kolbus Autobox Ltd. He adds this role to the position of Managing Director of Kolbus UK Ltd, which he has held since 2020.
Robert Flather has moved to the position of Chairman of Kolbus UK to allow time for, amongst other things, his year as Master of the Worshipful Company of Stationers’.
“It is a great honour to be trusted with both Kolbus UK and Kolbus Autobox,” commented Bird. “It is an exciting time as Kolbus continues the journey into suppling machinery to the packaging industry, while still maintaining an involvement in its traditional book binding equipment market.”
He concludes, “Robert has done a fantastic job with the Kolbus UK business and I look forward to guiding it through the next chapter as we continue to develop and release new machines. Although there are always challenges when entering new markets, I am sure the Kolbus tradition of quality engineering and high levels of customer service will ensure a positive future for both Kolbus and its customers. I take particular pleasure in seeing a highly active number of apprentices involved in the business, as I am keen to create opportunities for all our young people to develop and progress within Kolbus.”
