Lee Shackleton, Managing Director of UK-based Sheard Packaging, has confirmed that the company continues its investment strategy, with the next piece of capital equipment arriving on 1st September.
This latest investment will see the installation of an EMBA 175QS Ultima, with the line expecting to be commissioned by the end of September. With an eye firmly on premium efficiency, a Dücker Pre-feeder and palletiser will be installed early in 2023 to fully automate the line. Once completed, this which will be the sixth EMBA casemaker at Sheard. Conveyorisation from Avanti and strapping from Signode will complete the installation.
“Being an advocate of EMBA casemakers and having first hand experience of the reliability, productivity and quality they produce, it was an easy decision to once again invest in the Ultima”, says Shackleton. “This is the first in a number of exciting investments we have planned over the next 12 months to ensure we remain at the forefront of the UK corrugated industry.”
