MM Board & Paper has signed an agreement with RDM Group to acquire the operating business of its Arnsberg recycled fibre-based cartonboard mill in Germany through an asset deal.
The Arnsberg mill has an annual production capacity of approximately 230,000 tonnes of recycled fibre-based cartonboard and specialises particularly in the production of liner products.
MM said the acquisition represents an investment in its core business and will complement its existing production network. By integrating the Arnsberg operation into its German industrial platform, which includes several cartonboard mills and packaging plants, the company expects to generate synergies to support the turnaround of the mill.
The acquisition is also expected to increase production flexibility, strengthen security of supply and broaden MM’s product and service offering.
All employees at the Arnsberg mill will transfer to MM as part of the transaction. The purchase price has not been disclosed. The acquisition remains subject to the required antitrust approvals, with completion currently expected during the fourth quarter of 2026.
