Ministerial visit for Grupasa

On 21st April, Ecuador-based Grupasa welcomed the Minister of Production, Ivan Ontaneda and his delegation, for a detailed tour of their corrugated factory in the port town of Guayaquil.

During the tour, the owners of Grupasa were able to show the Minister the automated production processes utilised at the plant, showcasing the Industry 4.0 technology. They saw corrugated board being produced on the BHS Corrugated line, which was installed in 2020 and how the materials are moved around the facility in a fully automatic mode via the Dücker materials handling system. They also demonstrated the flexo and digital printing on corrugated.

Grupasa is part of the Grupo Papalese company, which employs more than 500 people and produces a wide range of standard and micro-flute corrugated packaging. It is one of the leading integrated companies in Ecuador.
