The Model Group recently welcomed the Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs, Wolfgang Tiefensee and local municipality representative Maik Klotzbach, to its corrugated board plant in Berka/Werra, Germany. During the tour of the production site, the guests had the chance to learn first hand where and how corrugated packaging is made.
Thorsten Roettger, Managing Director Germany, provided the visitors with insights into the expansion plans for the plant and the company’s overall climate goals. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of the packaging industry. “In most cases, corrugated board is the packaging material of the first choice in Germany for the transport of food and medicines. In this way, our packaging solutions help our customers in system-relevant industries to ensure the flow of basic supplies.”
