Mitsubishi Heavy Industries EMEA, Ltd. (MHI) Corrugating & Printing Machinery Division has confirmed the successful startup of a new four-colour EVOL 100 flexo folder gluer at Ondulati del Friuli (ODF) in Italy. This marks the second EVOL 100 supplied to ODF, following their initial installation in 2017, and highlights the escalating market demand for precision and rapid operational flexibility.
Faced with a growing European market that increasingly prioritises short-order capabilities and fast setup times, ODF sought to significantly expand its plant capacity. Having experienced nearly a decade of exceptional reliability, folding accuracy, and dedicated service from their first EVOL, returning to MHI for their expansion strategy was a natural decision for the Italian converter.
The installation and startup of the EVOL 100 proceeded flawlessly, achieving optimal performance and world-class box quality from the first blank. Satisfied with MHI’s execution, ODF signed the acceptance test immediately upon completion.
