Metsä Group is inviting applications for its apprenticeship training programme beginning in January 2024. A total of 80 new jobs will be offered in production units across Finland.
The company says its apprenticeship training is an excellent path towards varied and responsible production and maintenance duties in the forest industry.
“We’re looking for persons who have the willingness and motivation to learn and develop their skills –and from whom we will train top professionals in the forest industry,” says Pertti Hietaniemi, Senior Vice President, HR, Metsä Group.
The eighteen-month paid apprenticeship programme is suitable for recent graduates, people already working in the field, as well as those changing careers.
“The operating model of Metsä Group’s production units builds on the personnel’s multiple skill set – and our broad apprenticeship training provides a solid foundation for this,” says Hietaniemi. “It’s also an excellent and practical way to transfer the skills and knowledge of retiring experts to future professionals well in advance.”
