Port Glasgow-based McLaren Packaging has acquired Bathgate-based protective packaging company, Glenhaze, for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 1994, Glenhaze is a leading manufacturer of sustainable, paper-based and innovative product protection for the spirit, glass manufacturing and e-commerce sectors. Its factory was designed with efficiency and process flow in mind to ensure a faster turnaround of customer requirements. Leading-edge CAD-controlled system supports the rapid creation of prototypes to ensure speedy new product developments.
Donald McLaren, Managing Director, McLaren Packaging, said, “Glenhaze offers a range of services that complement our broader product offering. We look forward to working alongside the team at Glenhaze to develop new business. We are retaining the Glenhaze premises in Bathgate, together with all 25 employees so, as far as Glenhaze customers and staff are concerned, it will be business as usual. A vital aspect of our interest in Glenhaze is our shared values as responsible employers and manufacturers. All Glenhaze products are 100% recyclable and can be made from 100% recycled paper underpinned by ISO 14001 environmental accreditation.”
Gary McCulloch, Managing Director, Glenhaze, added, “I’m excited by the coming together with McLaren Packaging which will benefit Glenhaze and our customers through the provision of a seamless continuity of services, while giving them access to an even broader range of paper-based packaging products and am greatly looking forward to working alongside the McLaren Packaging management team.”
